Rotational Moulding in Plastics is also known as biaxial moulding.   This means that the tool on the moulding machine rotates in two directions at the same time.   During this period the hot material inside a steel or aluminium mould flows to fill the cavities inside the tooling.

We have owned and operated this business at our premises at Coatbridge since 1988 and have been familiar with the process for over 30 years   During this time no less than 60% of our capacity has been used by Richmark  to produce their own niche range of Airport Products.   The remaining spare capacity is used on contract to third parties in non conflicting industries.

The machinery is capable of Manufacturing with a multiplicity of different tools of varying sizes for many applications, at the same time.   The largest size which can be manufactured in one piece is approximately 1.3 metres cube of a maximum weight of 35 kilos.

Whilst it is not politic to discuss the individual mouldings that we do for third parties,  in detail, we can acknowledge that in addition to the Aviation Industry we manufacture Marine Buoys, Pedestrian Area Bollards, End Caps for the Oil and Water industries, various containers and trays for the food industry as well as covers, guards and bins for other clients.

If you have products which are specific to your business please contact us and we would be pleased to discuss your requirements and quote you for items requiring economic quantities.   As part of our service we would be able to introduce you to a Toolmaker and offer unbiased help about the development of your product.

Rotational Moulding is usually most attractive to a client  because of the lower start-up price, lower capital outlay on tooling and lower production costs as compared with either Vacuum Forming or Injection Moulding.

Contact Mike Parkinson   to discuss how we may help you manufacture your special product.
